About the event
The conference brought together academicians, practitioners and policymakers to understand the state of knowledge on critical questions related to competition and innovation in digital markets, and implications for future policy evolution.
The conference began with a keynote by Dr Amar Pattnaik, Member of Parliament. This was followed by a panel discussion on “Digital India: The role of competition policy in fostering innovation”. The panellists were Dr M S Sahoo (Distinguished Professor, NLU Delhi), Rahul Rai (Partner Axiom 5 and Member, Committee on Digital Competition Law), and Dr Rajat Kathuria (Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Shiv Nadar University). The panel was moderated by Professor Shubhashis Gangopadhyay.
Four academic paper presentations followed the panel discussion:
